Xavier Goodridge Gippsland Pinot Noir 2025
$50.00The Gippsland Pinot Noir is a blend of all the new and grafted vines from the Avon Vineyard, showcasing three Pinot Noir clones; MV6, Abel, and 114. This wine is crafted as our expression of a “village” Pinot Noir, a true representation of the broader Gippsland region and the diversity within the site. The fruit was hand-picked into 15kg baskets, hand-sorted, and gently destemmed into fermenters.
Fermentation lasted around 20 days, followed by pressing and maturation in large-format oak, specifically 1800L foudres for 10 months. The wine was racked in January and bottled in February 2026, resulting in a Pinot Noir that’s vibrant, approachable, and distinctly Gippsland.
Gorgeously perfumed; decadently endowed with lifted Asian five spice, decaying rose, black cherry and kirsch aromatics. Open, generous and medium-bodied on the palate with lip-smacking acidity and wonderful freshness demanding of you another sip.
